Garden Plots & Gardening Practices
Plots
The 13th Street Community Park & Garden is home to 10 lovely community garden plots, which are divided equally between the residents of Kentucky Courts and the surrounding neighborhood.
Community gardeners are assigned a plot for one year with an option to renew.
Each year in March, available plots are assigned to new gardeners according to a waiting list. Please download our Garden Plot documents to learn more about how to become a part of our gardening community.

Practices
The 13th Street Community Park & Garden is proud to provide a gardening space that is guided by organic and sustainable gardening principles. What does this mean? In our garden, we understand it to mean that all garden plots and surrounding park spaces are cultivated and maintained without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. We compost park and garden waste and pull weeds by hand. Whenever possible, we use practices that lessen negative impacts on the environment and promote healthy, sustainable garden management.
