As the park ages it now requires more love and attention, and we are committed to keeping it the special jewel that it has become – for you, for your families, for every person in the neighborhood. And while public funds built this park, our nonprofit group is responsible for the upkeep – not the District government. Now we need your continued help to keep the park going strong.
Each month we hold a Beautification Day and ask members of the community to give an hour or two of their time to assist in caring for the park. While we understand that many of us devote our energy to numerous activities and causes, we ask that you consider donating to our nonprofit organization if you cannot spare time volunteering.
Your tax-deductible gift of $25, $50, or $100 can make all the difference in providing for the upkeep and maintenance of the park, which our group is charged with caring for.
The goal is for our Organization to break-even each year, but with increased maintenance needs, we have begun seeing the expenses outpace the donations. Please help to keep the park in the best form possible with your contribution. Your donation will go towards general park upkeep, replacement parts for electrical, plumbing, and landscaping, and programming costs, such as movie nights, community celebrations, and holiday events.
